Biography

Summoned by the Abbasid caliph al-Mutawakkil from Medina to Samarra to remain under direct surveillance, he spent most of his Imamate there under close watch. Ziyarat al-Jami'a al-Kabira is attributed to him.

His articulation of the station of Ahl al-Bayt, as reflected in the Ziyarat al-Jami'a al-Kabira attributed to him.
